Peres to PA minister: Ball is in Palestinians' court
Knesset Member Shimon Peres met with Palestinian Economy Minister Mazen Sinokrot at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The Palestinian minister said that Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, who is interested in backing the peace process, should be supported. Peres said that Israel has not changed its policy of aspiring to reach a peace agreement.
According to Peres, the ball is in the Palestinians' court, and they must decide whether their policy is terror, which will be harshly retaliated by Israel, or negotiations, disarming and willingness to live alongside the State of Israel in safe borders. (Ronny Sofer)
